In 1975 Salford Spiritualist Church & Pendleton Spiritualist Church joined forces to create the Church we have today which is located on Cross Lane, Liverpool Street, Salford. This was built as a re-instatement by the City Council.
Salfords Mayor, Councillor Mrs Nellie Openshaw was invited to unlock the doors of the new building alongside SNU President, Gordon Higginson.
Gordon dedicated the Church to a packed congregation. Later he gave clairvoyance to seven recipients.
The president of Salford Spiritualist Church, Mrs Elsie Rains, said "The centre is built as a Spiritualist Church. We have one large hall, a mediums' room, kitchen, toilets, etc. We are all very pleased with the result. The corporation was most helpful".
